Pasta is a staple food of traditional Italian cuisine. Typically, pasta is a noodle made from an unleavened dough of a durum wheat flour mixed with water or eggs and formed into sheets or various shapes, then cooked by boiling or baking.
There are many varieties of pasta such as long and short. Examples of long pasta common in Singapore are spaghetti, fusilli, fettuccine, lasagne and linguine. Examples of short pasta common in Singapore are macaroni, penne and rotini.
