Mookata fans in the north-east, this one's for you. Family Hakata, a mookata stall along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6, received its halal certification on 22 July 2026. That makes it one of the few places in Singapore where you can grill and boil your way through a halal mookata spread.
The big draw is the price: S$19.90 per person, for a minimum of two diners, with no time limit. Expect a well-stocked freezer of seafood, from salmon to shellfish, plus beef and chicken in several marinades. There is also a lok-lok selection, with items like cheese tofu and crab sticks fried to order and coated in a sweet, tangy seasoning.
For groups who have been skipping mookata nights because of halal concerns, this is an easy heartland option that does not need a trip into town.
